Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I confirm my booking?
To officially secure your spot, a deposit (a percentage of the total tour price) is required at the time of booking. Once the deposit is received, we finalize all logistics, including your horses, guides, and equipment. Your tour dates are only guaranteed after this payment is confirmed.
What should I pack for a trip to Mongolia?
The weather in Mongolia is famous for having “four seasons in one day.” We recommend layering your clothes. Essential items include:
A high-quality windbreaker or rain jacket.
Comfortable trekking boots (already broken in).
A sun hat and high-SPF sunscreen.
Warm layers for the evenings, as temperatures drop significantly at night, even in summer.
Do I need prior horse riding experience?
Not necessarily. We offer tours for all levels, from beginners to advanced riders. Our experienced local guides will provide a safety briefing and basic riding instructions before we start. We match each guest with a horse that suits their skill level to ensure a safe and enjoyable journey.
What are the meal options during the trek?
We provide fresh, hearty meals prepared by our team. We understand that international travelers may have different dietary needs. If you are vegetarian, vegan, or have specific food allergies, please inform us in advance so we can prepare a customized menu for your trip.
Will I have internet or mobile phone reception?
In Ulaanbaatar and provincial centers, high-speed internet is widely available. However, once we head into the deep wilderness (like the Taiga or remote Steppe), signal becomes very limited or non-existent. We encourage our guests to embrace this as a “digital detox” to fully connect with nature.
Is travel insurance mandatory?
While we take every precaution to ensure your safety, we highly recommend that all travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers emergency medical evacuation and horse riding activities.
